The Housing Authority of Covington owns and/or manages a diverse portfolio of HUD subsidized rental apartments in Covington, KY across four communities and dozens of scattered site properties. Two communities are designated as senior housing while other communities serve individuals and families. A highly trained team of employees work in our property management offices to serve the needs of our tenants on a daily basis. The Senior Housing Manager provides oversight of all day to day activities related to property management.

Our Leasing Department processes applications for one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments and determines each applicant’s program eligibility. Rent is based on household income and family size, as well as other factors. HUD requires that each tenant undergo an annual review to verify continued program eligibility. Our professional Leasing & Recertification staff handle the day to day processing of housing applications, as well as interim and annual re-certifications. The Manager of Leasing and Re-Certification is responsible for all day to day activities surrounding HUD compliance with our leasing and re-certification processes.

Subsequent to COVID-19, our office is closed to the public. In an effort to assist applicants and residents in the best way possible, ALL appointments will be conducted via phone, e-mail and/or regular mail.

Applicants-Once your completed application is received, you will be contacted by mail/e-mail and given a date and time for your appointment call. Requests for documents will be done by e-mail/mail and the drop box located in the front entryway at 2300 Madison Ave. Covington KY 41014.

Annual Recertification– Residents are required to recertify once per year. Once we receive your completed packet; You will receive a letter in the mail and/or e-mail with instructions on what verifications/documents you will need to submit and a date to have them turned in by.

Interim– If you have a change in income or family composition throughout the year, you must report it to us within 7 days. You will need to fill out the Interim form which can be obtained at your site’s management office or HAC’s administration office at 2300 Madison Ave. Covington, KY 41014. You will need to attach your verifications to the form and drop them all in the drop box marked “Public Housing HAC”, located in the front entryway.
